We want you to have all the information you need to plan a World Changers mission experience. The questions and answers below may help you think through the preparations you need to make.

Q: How do we come up with the money?
A: A pre-packaged approach is not cheap, but it is a worthwhile investment. Many groups make a long-term commitment to raise funds through work projects and church activities. Participants are willing to put up money of their own when they see the difference they can make on a mission project. Churches often set aside budget funds when an informed presentation about the project is made. World Changers promotional videos are available to help you raise support. The key? Start early.

Q: What is the best way to travel to a project?

A: Many groups use church-provided or rented vehicles. Fifteen-passenger vans are ideal since World Changers works with each group to use their vehicles at the projects. At the project, you will be requested to remove or not use the back seat because of safety issues.

Q: Can I use a World Changers project as an outreach tool to involve unchurched youth or adults in my ministry?
A: No. The participants you bring to a World Changers project must be Christians who are active in your church's ministry. Our approach involves helping participants grow in their faith and develop mission-minded lifestyles. A work project requires participants to come ready to work hard, sleep on the floor, and share their faith authentically.

Q: I want to bring youth of all grades to a project. Is this possible?

A: Yes. World Changers offers four types of youth projects. The Senior High Projects are limited to youth who have completed one of the grades 9-12. The All-Youth and Community Projects are for youth who have completed one of the grades 6-12. We have three collegiate World Changers projects, but college students are also eligible to attend any project.

Q: How do I get information?
A: Call 1 800 462-VOLS, or visit the following Web sites:
North American Mission Board: www.world-changers.net, www.namb.net
International World Changers: www.thetask.org, 1 800 999-2889, ext. 1355

Q. Will my whole youth group work together on a crew?
A. No. We try to place at least two participants from a church group together on a crew. They will mix and match with youth from other churches to form a work crew. We feel this is part of the unique World Changers experience which helps youth get to know and work with others of their grade level from all over the country.
