I just wanted to say thank you for what you do. I live in Watertown NY and have since January of 2006. I am married to a Soldier-which means I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the Army :-). I drive through town all the time with disappointment at how run down the town is. Some people are finally working to fix up the town and make it something to be proud of but this is an old town with people who either can't afford to or are too old to make improvements. I drove through town earlier this week and saw a large group working-not realizing at the time it was your group. It is amazing that your group does this and I'm sure the people you help are very grateful but I wanted you to know that those who don't directly benefit from the repairs are grateful too! Thank you for your time and service helping others!
Chris Harris Resident in Watertown, NY I live on the 3400 block of Grand Blvd in East Chicago, IN. I came home to find a couple of door hangers on my fence about World Changers- which I didn’t read right away. The next day I saw all the work being done by these brilliant young people (and not so young!!) on some home on my street. I think my jaw hit the ground because I had never seen such a beautiful sight! I am truly amazed and I think what you do is OUTSTANDING. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Silvia Flores Resident in town of WC project I was visited by a fine group of young people who worked hard but always had a smile and a kind word. They fixed my roof and gutters. I had lost faith in humanity, especially the young people. What a change I had after meeting your group! Thank you World Changers and Goofus Roofers! Debra Herman Resident at WC Project This was my first year with World Changers, and I guarantee it won't be my last. I had not even planned on going with my church to this trip. A spot actually opened up the night before they were leaving, so I took it thinking it would be a good week to get away. This week has drastically changed my outlook on missions and about what serving Christ is all about. I knew that God had called me to missions about a year ago, but it was this week when I knew he wanted me to work with students. The staff was incredible, you could tell they had a heart for God and the students they were reaching. I am hoping, that I will be able to be on staff next year with this outstanding program. I have never seen so many lives changed- those on my crew as well as the residents that we were working with. Kasey Cross Student Participant from Georgia Attended Birmingham, Alabama project This was my first year at WC. When I signed up, I thought I was going to be changing other people’s worlds and help further THEIR faith with God. What I didn’t expect was for World Changers to change MY world. That week I rededicated my life to serving in the mission field sharing Jesus Christ with the world. Thank you Lord for World Changers! JC Wright Student Participant from Texas Attended Pine Bluff, Arkansas project This was my first time to attend World Changers. The Thursday night service was insightful and emotional. I learned that doing things for other people instead of for myself is very rewarding. I want to continue to glorify God by helping others.
